The investments playing fields in our regions have rarely been the most inspiring for foreign suitors.
The potential of resources, profit and growth have however been an eye catcher nonetheless. Experience has shown us that the environment demands intricate knowledge of the domestic demands of the laws affecting investment, capital, projects, operationalization and management. Suitors approach ordinarily promising, and hopefully with money that is sought to be invested into different sector of the economies and there is need to match this investment with at times local participation or none at all. We have on the deck experience with the legislation on investments, Exchange Control, Competition, Sector-specific legislation and indeed the supreme laws of the country where applicable. We have strong ties and good working relationships with the various authorities at relevant levels, leveraging with the Investments Authorities, Exchange Control Authorities, Competitions and Tariff Authorities, as well as other industry-specific bodies. We identify risks and advise strongly on de-risking and legal risk mitigation, compliance and management. Experience has also been drawn from the fully carrying out Mergers and Acquisitions, due diligences and reporting.
We have good appreciation too that the biggest investor in our region is the local investor in our regions is the local investor. Fully abreast of the risks and with so much appetite to make a difference. All the same, our experience and knowledge is key, to hold their hand and walk the minefield together.
Experience is drawn from having worked with and advised on financial institutions licensing foe foreign investors, advising people form as far wide as Latvia, we have extensively worked with investors in the Mining sector from Israel, Russia, china, Mozambique and South Africa. We have also advised on the licensing of institutions with the Insurance and Pensions Commission for Life and Micro Assurance operating licenses. We have extended opinions to the prospective American investing community overtime.
